Tra Su Cajuput Forest is located in Van Giao Commune, Tinh Bien District, An Giang Province, about over 20km from Chau Doc Town and 10km from the Cambodia border. Belonging to the national specialized forest system in the western region in Southern Vietnam, it is an ideal destination for ecological and scientific research tours in the Mekong Delta, thanks to its wonderful diverse wildlife.

To get to Tra Su Cajuput Forest, first go to Chau Doc Town and then turn left about 17km to Nha Bang Town in Tinh Bien District. From there it is only 4km to Cam Mountain, which is right next to the Tra Su Cajuput Forest.

Prior to 1975, Tra Su was destroyed by the enemy’s bombs and became uncultivated area. After the war, authorities in An Giang Province invested to reforest cajuput and build a 12km long, 4m wide and 4m high dyke system that helps prevent the area from being swamped during flood season. The forest has been designated as a special restoration zone since 1983, with the target of becoming a renowned scientific forest and nature reserve.

Sam Mountain is in Vinh Te Commune, 6km west of Chau Doc Town, An Giang Province. The 230m high mountain with beautiful landscapes and many historic remains.

From Long Xuyen, one has to travel almost 60km to get to Sam Mountain which lies west of Chau Doc Town, at approximately 2km from the frontier between Vietnam and Cambodia.

The 230m high mountain does not only offer beautiful landscapes, but it is also where many historic remains deeply loved by the inhabitants of Nam Bo plain are located. Ba Chua Xu Temple, Tay An Pagoda, Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb, Tao Ngo Garden, and Bach Van Hill are among the famous sites to visit near Sam Mountain.

Cam Mountain is located in An Hao Commune, Tinh Bien District, An Giang Province. Cam Mountain, or Thien Cam Son (heaven’s forbidden mountain) is the highest and largest one belonging to the superb Mountains (That Son) in An Giang.

The majestic mountain places itself imposingly in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta on the altitude of 710m. The panoramic view of Great Buddha Pagoda (in An Binh, An Hao Commune) from Vo Bo Hong Peak presents a great valley surrounded by rolling mountains in the Thien Cam Son chain such as Vo Dau, Vo Bo Hong, Vo Thien Tue, etc. Endowed with such spectacular mountainous terrain, Cam Mountain is considered as a Dalat (a famous highland resort) in the Mekong Delta. The mountain has a year-round cool climate, original natural spots associated with interesting, heart-warming legends and myths that lure increasing numbers of tourists and vacationers.

The final track of cow racing has held in Vinh Trung village, Tinh Bien district in An Giang province with much excitement and amazement on September 18th 2009. The play station was filled with 30.000 audiences with muddy and puddly racing track and amazing spirit. There are total 72 pairs of cows coming from Khmer ethnic minority in Tinh Bien, Tri Ton, Chau Thanh and Chau Phu districts of An Giang joining this special racing.

This is a traditional and featured festival in Bay Nui (Seven mountains) area which was held in the occasion of  Sen Dolta Festival (the 8th month according to lunar calendar annually) when the farmers finish sowing  the final crop off the year.

Each pair of cows are tethered the harrow and managed by a man. Each competition includes 2 pairs, following direct elimination rule. They will race 3 rounds attractively and then try their best to reach the target.
