Taking advantage of early rains, Sapa farmers are growing rice seedlings. This is the only rice crop in this area. The transplanting season is the most beautiful in Sapa, so photographers and tourists have flocked to this mountainous area.

A week-long cultural festival will be held in Sapa, one of Vietnam’s top holiday and relaxation destinations, from April 30 to May 4, in an effort to increase the northern mountainous area’s tourism potential.
Called “Walking in a Cloud in Sapa”, the festival is designed to lead visitors from surprise to surprise with a series of activities highlighting the rich and distinctive aspects of Sapa’s diverse ethnic cultures.
Visitors can join local ethnic minority people to discover how they dye, weave and decorate their garments, or make their sandals.
They will have the chance to take part in forest tours to pick medicinal herbs and learn how to use the plants as well as preparing the traditional meals eaten by the various ethnic minority groups and explore the customs of the Dao ethnic minority people.

The weather in Sapa at the beginning of the year is around 10oC. The surroundings are romantic in a foggy morning and beautiful orchid garden. This destination attracts thousands of domestic and foreign visitors, especially are young couples.

Recent days, the temperature in Sapa region has fell to below 5 degrees Celcius, even to 1.5 degrees Celcius on November 21. At O Quy Ho pass (over 2000 meters above sea level), turned white with ice and snow. Many visitors headed to Sapa to see the winter wonderland.
The smiling faces of children, the shyness and charming of young ethnic girls appear simply in the collection of Vu Minh Trong. The foggy town of Sapa attracts many people with its beauty in the dusk.
