Co Thach is a tourist destination with many unique features, famous for its pagoda and seven-color rock beach. Located in the district of Tuy Phong, 300km from the city, 300km from Ho Chi Minh City, it is not expensive so many visitors choose to explore the beauty of this land. Although located in the coastal province of Central Vietnam, it is almost always possible to go to Co Thach all year round, but you should avoid the July and August periods because of the high sea level and black sea jelly.

How to get to Co Thach

To go to Co Thach, there are many ways going here such as by car, motorbike or train. However, the iron train does not stop at Tuy Phong, you have to go to Phan Thiet and catch a car back to Co Thach. It spends a lot of time and money, so you should ignore this way.

The road to Co Thach is quite easy to get to, whether it is from Saigon or from Da Nang. On the national highway 1A, to the territory of Tuy Phong district, you will meet the three-way Lien Huong and then turn right about 3km to Co Thach. Alternatively, you can take a right turn from Doi Hamlet, Hamlet 7, Hoi Tam, Hoa Minh to discover a beautiful coastal road. However, it is important to ask the local people to avoid getting lost.

By bus

If you choose to travel by bus, the bus often stop at Lien Huong bus station, you have to get motorbike taxi to go to Co Thach at the price of about 30,000 – 40,000 VND. If you are in Saigon, you can contact the bus station to buy tickets. In here, there are many buses running from Saigon to Tuy Phong such as Linh Vu, Truc Nguyen and Tan buses.

Vinh Hao mineral mud bath

Vinh Hao mineral water is well known, but not much people know about its origin at the mineral water in Vinh Hai commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province. From the center of Tuy Phong district, you go on the National Highway 1A toward Phan Thiet about 7km, through Yeu Ngua Pass and Tao mountain to the turn approximately 1.5km to Vinh Hao mineral water.

The resort with the service of mineral bath and mud bath is in the midst of the wild and cool nature. You will relax the body completely in the stream of warm mineral water to have beautiful skin and relax blood vessels, which is very good for health. Traveling to Co Thach, you absolutely do not miss this place.

Hang Pagoda (also known as Co Thach Pagoda)

Hang Pagoda is located close to Co Thach beach, just 5-10 walk so the visit is very convenient. The temple is quite large, so if visitors come here at the first time and not familiar with the type of backpacking travel, they should rent a local boy or girl as a guide to visit every corner of the temple, but remember to negotiate first.

Hang Pagoda was built in the first half of the 19th century and is located in a cave on Co Thach Hill at an altitude of 64 meters above sea level. The road to the pagoda which is built around the pagoda has a railing, overlooking the beautiful seven-color stone beach. Just as a beautiful tourist destination, and bringing unique Buddhist color, Hang pagoda is a not-to-be-missed place by any visitors who come to Co Thach.

This is probably the most attractive of Co Thach, one of the unique landscape of Vietnam. Situated in the Co Thach tourist resort, the seven-colored gulf beach is located close to the sea, which consists of many stones in full color and tidal accretion. Not only rocks full color, Co Thach sea also attractive visitors by the large rocks with very unique shape.

Ganh Son 

Going to Co Thach, take a right turn along the sea and pass from Binh Thanh fish village about 5km, ask local people to go to Ganh Son. Ganh Son is located in Chi Cong Commune, Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province, attracting visitors by rugged mountains and caves, cloaked with strange shapes. In particular, the mountains here are made up of red soil, a familiar geological component of Binh Thuan which we can see through the Champa Cham towers.

Sand Hill – Ong Nam Hai Mausoleum

These two attractions are close to Co Thach resort, you can walk or want to save time can rent motorbikes, but note that the price is negotiable.

Ong Nam Hai Mausoleum is a historical building built from the reign of King Minh Mang. Through the ups and downs of history, it still retains the ancient beauty of the typical imperial architecture. Besides, the sand dunes in Co Thach smoothly spread like a desert, which is a very typical landscape of Binh Thuan province.
