The organization for Nature and Environment of Vietnam has issued a decision to recognize 400 Shan tea trees in Suoi Giang commune, Van Chan district as Vietnam Heritage Trees.

400 Shan tea trees in Suoi Giang as Vietnam Heritage Trees

400 Shan tea trees in Suoi Giang which are recognized as Vietnam Heritage Trees were selected in the area of ​​nearly 400 hectares of Shan tea in Suoi Giang commune, concentrated in 4 villages Giang A, Giang B, Pang Cang and Ban Moi. These are the above-100-year-old tea trees.

Immediately after being recognized by the organization for Nature and Environment of Vietnam, Van Chan district was planning to receive recognition certificate. The welcoming ceremony is expected to be held on February 16th (January 9th on lunar calendar) in the village of Giang B. In addition, the district also assigned Suoi Giang commune to number and suggest the measures to protect these plants.
