On the evening of March 14th, 2016, in an outdoor floating stage in Yen Vinh City, Vinh Phuc provincial Committee, People's Council, Fatherland Front held a solemn ceremony to receive the recognition of 2 national special historic monuments: historic sites and landscape of Tay Thien (Dai Dinh commune, Tam Dao district) and architectural relic of Binh Son Tower (Tam Son town, Song Lo district).

The solemn ceremony

At the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, on behalf of the Prime Minister awarded the recognition of national special historic monument for two relics of Vinh Phuc.

About Binh Son tower and Tay Thien landscape

Tay Thien landscape is about 70 from central Hanoi to the northwest, is an ancient architectural complex with pagodas, temples, shrines, grave stone … bearing the imprint of history and culture. The unique feature of religious culture in Tay Thien is the interface between Buddhist culture and Mau worship. In 1991, Tay Thien is rated as a heritage at national level and is planned in key tourist area, become spiritual tourism destination with full of attraction for tourists from all over the regions.

Binh Son tower is a relic with unique architecture, creativity, the convergence of the essence of Vietnam’s traditional culture both tangible and intangible, both Buddhist and folk beliefs. Tower is reviewed by experts in national and international as one of the most intact art architecture of the country’s ancient tower surviving to this day. In 1962, Binh Son Tower is ranked by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture) as a national monument.
